The Ben Treacher quartet will play an evening of light jazz on Saturday 19 July from 8pm (doors open 7.30pm) to 9.30pm (doors close 10pm) at Pitstone Memorial Hall.
The concert will raise money for the maintenance of the hall and also serve as a memorial to Ben Treacher’s grandfather, Ron Treacher, who was Chairman of Pitstone Parish Council for many years.
The quartet will comprise Masters Music Students from Trinity College of Music in London, all professional musicians gigging in the London and Cardiff area and developing an enthusiastic following. The ensemble will probably include saxophone, drums, double bass, bass guitar and possibly piano, and will perform many jazz standards that will be familiar to people.
Teas, coffees and homemade cakes will be available before and during the concert as well as drinks from the bar and there will be space to dance for those who can’t resist.
Tickets priced £10 (concessions £8.50) are available from the box office on 01296 668094.
