Laughter on the Lawn 22-6-13

An evening of first-class stand-up comedy in association with the Get Stuffed Comedy Club.

The evening will be compared by Logan Murray who, for those that remember last years event, appeared as the monstrously bitter tired old showbiz hack Ronnie Rigsby.  He is acknowledged as one of the bet comedy tutors in the world.  Such prominent starts as Rhod Gilbert, Greg Davies, Eddie Izzard and Dominic Holland have been taught by Logan.

The headline act, and well established star of comedy, is Sean Hughes.   Until recently, a sardonic team captain on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Sean Hughes started his career as a stand-up comedian by becoming the youngest winner of the Perrier Award.  Several sell out tours later and two series of Sean’s Show for Channel 4, Sean diversified into writing, presenting and acting.  Recently co-staring with Peter Davison in The Last Detective.

Highlights of the event are:

• An evening of comedy entertainment (likely to be targeted at the 18yrs + age group)
• hosted in the marquee on Ivinghoe Lawn with Rose & Crown providing the bar
