Thank you to, and from, the Ben Treacher Jazz Quartet

BEN TREACHER JAZZ QUARTET

PITSTONE MEMORIAL HALL

19TH JULY 2014

I would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to all who supported this very successful event in the village last month.

We were able to raise a fantastic £560 for the Memorial Hall Fund, whilst enjoying an evening of Jazz from a young, up and coming London Jazz Quartet who have already appeared upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s and at the Vortex Jazz Club in London.

This is the second time that the Jazz Quartet have performed here to raise money for the Hall in memory of Ben’s Grandfather, Ron Treacher, former Chairman of Pitstone Parish Council, making a running total of very nearly £1000 donated so far to the Hall Committee.

Thanks need to go to Sue and Barry Gregory for all their hard work in helping to transform the Hall into our very own ‘Ronnie Scott’s’ for the evening and for running the bar.  Thanks go also to those who made donations to the kitty!

The Quartet will be back next year in early July to perform once again, so if you missed it this year, do try to support these young musicians and this great village facility next time.

THANK YOU AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!    BEN TREACHER
