Suspicious incident – Pitstone
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a suspicious incident in Pitstone.
At around 5.45am this morning (15/9), a woman got into her car in Yardley Avenue and noticed the interior light was on.
She thought nothing of it but during the drive she noticed a man in the backseat.
The woman pulled over in Castlemead and got out of the car and the man jumped out of the car and ran away.
The woman was not injured during the incident.
The man is white, between 40 and 50 years old, of medium build and average height.
He was possibly wearing a red top or jumper.
Inspector Donna Wilmshurst from Aylesbury police station said: “Fortunately the woman was not injured but it was a frightening incident for her. It is not clear why the man was in the car but he fled the scene on foot and I would ask anyone who saw a man matching his description to contact me immediately via the 101 number.
“Officers are in the area this morning conducting enquiries and trying to locate the man so we can establish the circumstances around this incident. If anyone has any concerns, please feel free to approach officers or call 101.”
