Criminal Damage to Hurst Path noticeboard and Hever Close memorial bench

We are sad to report that a group of 5 or 6 ‘young’ teenagers (approx 13-14 years) decided to attack the Hurst Path noticeboard on Saturday evening and completely bring it to the floor. Our contractor attended on Sunday to remove the board and make the area safe. This criminal damage has been reported to Thames Valley Police who will be investigating. If you reside in one of the properties overlooking this footpath/play area and also witnessed anything and/or have CCTV footage (approx 8-8.40pm Saturday evening) please contact Thames Valley Police. Our apologies to the residents that normally rely on this noticeboard, it will be reinstated once we have sourced suitable replacement parts and carried out the necessary repairs.

Also sad to see that the memorial bench, dedicated to the Morris family, in the Hever Close playground, has been graffiti’d. Staff will be attending to try and remove this graffiti.
